Conservative PAC Targets GOP Sen. Chris Gebhard With Yard Signs Accusing Him of Serving Out-of-State Hedge Funds

Pennsylvania Republicans are turning on each other again, this time with a conservative PAC blanketing districts with yard signs attacking GOP State Sen. Chris Gebhard. The signs accuse Gebhard of “working for out of state hedge fund capitalists who want nothing more than to see small businesses die off in this state,” echoing a growing feud inside the party between hard-right activists and establishment Republicans.

The attacks highlight deepening fractures in the GOP over economic policy, school funding, and corporate influence. While Gebhard has tried to present himself as a business-friendly conservative, far-right groups now claim he is siding with wealthy national interests rather than local communities. Instead of Democrats criticizing him, Gebhard is now fighting off fire from his own party.

The episode shows a Republican Party increasingly absorbed in internal warfare, with outside groups spending money to take down their own elected officials and brand them as sellouts. For voters, it is another reminder that Pennsylvania Republicans are focused less on governing and more on purging each other.
